ABOUT: The Watts-Willowbrook Conservatory (WWC) was established in early 2010 at the Watts-Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club, in partnership with SAPPA (Scholarship Performance Preparatory Academy). The program provides high quality music education that builds character, self-esteem, and discipline. Participants attend after school, one hour classes twice a week, where they learn to read music and play symphonic string instruments. Students must provide their own instrument (special discount available for student instrument purchase). WWC is a parent driven program that gives parents the opportunity to participate in their child’s development. A strong family support systems will allow our urban arts community to grow and operate at an increasingly competitive level.
